January 1, 2011

This morning I ran the First Run in Burlington, VT, a 5k that I've been running for the past few years.  I don't know what times I've run in the past, but I'm pretty sure that this year was my fastest to date; I finished in 20:41.  It was an unseasonably warm day, and it felt strange to be running in shorts for the first time in the past couple of months.  My legs felt a bit tired and having been out late last night celebrating the new year didn't necessarily set prime conditions for success in the race, nonetheless I feel good about it and think it's a good start to a new year of running.  I'm going to take it easy for the next couple of weeks as I work on moving to Boston and starting my new job, and will start my training for the Vermont City Marathon once I'm settled into my new apartment.  I'm excited about what's to come.

  3. We should be there. Unless something drastic happens, like the earth shifting off it's axis. It would be great to see you there.
