Overview: I was not happy at the end of this workout. My right hip and knee have been bothering me, and going into the third repeat I was really feeling it and thought about stopping after 800 meters. I finished the repeat, but my progressively slower times and the pain in my hip left me feeling depressed. The feeling of elation that sometimes follows my track workouts was not there. The marathon is in a week and a half, and I really don't want to be injured for the marathon. I guess, at this point, less is more, and I should really just concentrate on making sure I'm pain-free on marathon day. Advice, anyone?
Less is definitely more at this point. Get on some softer surfaces, maybe get some new shoes, and cut your mileage down. Good luck, you're fit!
